So let me get this straight….in response to “Top Building Permit Fee Lowered” which appeared in the July 13-19 issue of North Country This Week: some person wants to build a million dollar house in Potsdam? I am sorry, but this doesn't pass the smell test. What is the person really building this for? Is it an apartment building? Something for the hospital? Something that will not be on the tax rolls? So what is it, because I refuse to believe that this person is just simply building a house for his parents especially at that cost and in Potsdam. If that is the case though, then everyone from here on out should get the same deal. And here I thought that the town was in financial crisis.
