I would like to express my frustrations with the Norwood Beach Marathons. I do not begrudge anyone for wanting to participate or even organize such events. I do, as a resident of Lakeshore Drive, have a problem with not being able to leave my yard after 5:30 p.m. several Tuesday evenings in summer, or being stopped by a flag person on my way home and being told “you can’t go this way, there is a marathon taking place”. Lakeshore Drive is a public road with residents. I know that I am not the only one living on the road that has a problem with this. Put a sign up “local traffic only” and be respectful to those that live on the road. We are not being an inconvenience to you; you are being one to us, as it is us who live here year round and pays taxes to do so.
