In response to “Machines and Humans” which ran in the June 3 issue of North Country This Week; it must be nice to have enough extra time to wait in line for 15 minutes to be cashed out by humans that are sometimes incredibly slow. I am sure no staff was fired for self checkouts, they already had 20 registers and normally only had three open at 5 p.m. Now, I never have to wait and my Walmart trips are much more efficient. Love the self-checkouts!
