I am a very early riser and used to enjoy reading the North Country Now online. As of late I am appalled by the child's play that is going on in the lost and found section. Someone is using it as a non-monitored social media outlet. To harass and scrutinize another person, using profanities, listing the parties phone number and address. This totally degrades the integrity of your business and the posts are not removed until I would assume someone goes to work. It clearly states in your directions for Sound off "criticisms of local people or businesses and political endorsements are not accepted." Maybe you should put that on your lost and found. The heading for the lost and found states "Lost and found list is a free service to help locate lost pets, wallets and other valuable items that have been lost or found in St. Lawrence County." It doesn't take a rocket scientist to monitor and edit posts prior to display. I am quite sure my ranting will be edited due to overage of words and edited or not displayed at all. However as a community member who appreciates the lost and found column for what it is intended for, please step up and monitor and edit the nonsense. I would assume criminal action could be taken by the parties involved and your business for not using it as intended.
