When I first heard of dissolution I was for it but now I have changed my mind. In my mind the goal is to get rid of political officials but from what I hear we risk losing the local Police and the Fire Department will have to form their own taxing district, which means we would have no control over how they spend money. If they decided they need 5 more employees or want large raises we can’t stop it. We just need to elect officials who are willing to cut some from each department and also be willing to work with the Town Board. The Town Board has been no better with the bickering and I am sure they don’t want dissolution so they need to show they can also work with us.
