In response to “Stone Ages Forever” which appeared in the Aug. 17-23 issue of North Country This Week: Roads are not the major problem to bringing industries to the area whether it be Potsdam, Massena or Ogdensburg. It's much more complicated than that. Major roads are not crumbling and in some cases impress me with the upkeep the DOT manages to provide them. But you seem to forget bridges and a lot of other infrastructure that's involved, not to mention the tax situation, etc. If you have to drive 90 miles to shop, eat and do fun stuff, you have chosen to live in the sticks. This bit of the Sound Off makes me agree that you should move away and find a place more to your liking. Your attitude is an obvious mismatch to the environment you have chosen to live in.
