It's getting pretty clear that Governor Cuomo will pay lip service to the North Country, and once in a while he will dress appropriately and get a ride up here to talk to the cameras, but he's pretty much ignoring us. I guess our sparse population and relatively few votes means to him and many in the legislature that our schools don't matter much, except a private university or two where he has made some influential friends. He and other high ranking Democrats have been following the Republican example of speaking out of one side of his mouth while with the other side he gobbles up campaign money from wealthy friends who don't care to let go of their share of tax money that might go to help someone else.
