I am a dedicated Republican, Trump supporter, sports fan and veteran. However, this latest development about the NFL seems like a waste of time to me. I served in many places and in some countries when people kneel; this is a show of utmost respect. I have been to sports events where some people did not remove hats, stood or even stopped talking or eating during out National Anthem. To me, they are the ones being disrespectful. Let these players kneel, lock arms or stand – they are at least being respectful. When I found out President Trump had five deferments during the Vietnam War I was a little bit upset. Also, when he made the comment that Sen. McCain was weak because he was a prisoner of war I was upset. However, I did vote for him and do support him…but, with all the natural disasters, horrible shootings, AFA Healthcare, trade agreements and immigration issues, I think he needs to focus on what we elected him to do.
