In response to “Learn To Cook,” are you for real? Your suggestion that diners should accept a child screaming for 15 minutes is preposterous. Yes, I have children. As a respectful member of society, I did not take them out to eat until they were old enough to behave properly in a restaurant environment. Expecting others to do the same is certainly not unreasonable. As for the parents of the screaming kid, the decent thing to do would have been to leave the restaurant. If nothing else, it would have shown her that her behavior would not be tolerated, possibly preventing this scenario from occurring again in the future. By doing nothing, they have effectively shown the child that their are no consequences for her actions.
