In response to “Flu Shot Hassle,” (Nov. 17-23) I also attended the flu shot clinic in Canton. Those ladies were extremely busy and the amount of people that took advantage of the clinic caught them off guard. So how would you have liked to wait double the amount of time by combining steps one and two and then find out because of your allergies and/or health problems that you were not a good candidate for the flu shot and then sent home without a shot? Perhaps next time you should go to your doctor’s office, wait the same amount of time or longer and answer the same questions, but not for free! I think the clinic was handled very efficiently and effectively. Kudos, to the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department and all the hard working employees that make free clinics like this possible.
