In response to “Parade Is a Lifesaver” which ran in the May 27 issue of North Country This Week, I cannot speak for anyone else but myself, but I disagree with the gay pride parade being a lifesaver. Be who you want to be, why march in a parade about your personal preference?? Most people who are homosexual know others who are and have plenty of support for each other. There is no need to let the whole community aware that you are gay! To me it causes bullies to come after you. Bullying is a huge problem for everyone not just kids who are gay. I have nothing against gay people, and see no reason to march in a parade about it. What ever happened to a personal life being personal!
