One of the great things about living in Potsdam is that we have parks and trails that are far enough from car traffic where it is generally acceptable to walk our dogs off-leash. However, if you are crazy enough to walk your dog off-leash on or near a busy street, then please realize that, although you might think you have control of your dog, you don’t have control of your dog. It is not only putting your dog in great danger, but when your dog darts around other leashed dogs freely, because apparently you don’t really have control of it like, it's rude to other dog walkers and can be really stressful for dogs who are on leash. And also, if you are walking your dog off-leash at a park, leash your dog before you approach the parking lot. Dogs should never be allowed to run around out of control with cars coming and going.
