One thing that could be cut at Norwood-Norfolk is the drama. I am tired of this constant barrage of negativity and finger-pointing. If anyone is to blame for the sad state of financial affairs at NNCS and all of our North Country Districts, it is our governor, Andrew Cuomo, who has forced all our districts into a position where undesirable cuts to staff and programs need to be made. No district wants to make these cuts, but it is a matter of survival. I disagree with the writer who claims that our superintendent bullies and intimidates the staff (“School Employees Afraid,” April 27-May 3). I, too, work there, and I have never had an issue with Mrs. Kirnie. I have always found her to be a professional who is looking out for the best for the district, its staff, and its students; not an easy task in these trying economic times here in the North Country. Sign a petition to remove our governor instead.
