It is obvious that the police presence in the area is disproportionate to need and population. Yes, there is a serious need to contain and control illegal immigration, but the roadblocks, bus inspections and frequency of intrusive stops it way out of line. It is apparent that ticketing citizens for minor violations is a source of revenue, for the towns. The authorities are using 9/11 as an excuse to institute a police state.
