It is unbelievable to me how inconsiderate some people can be. I live in the hospital neighborhood and often pass workers from the hospital out having a smoke. Although I do not enjoy inhaling their second hand smoke, this is not my complaint. My complaint is that after having their smoke, they cannot be considerate enough to throw out their butts. This past weekend after the warm temperatures melted all the snow, I walked past the hospital grounds and was shocked and saddened by how many cigarette butts were lying on the ground. Do you really think that by throwing your butts into the snow that they just disappear? This littering takes away from the neighborhood, the hospital and not to mention leaving the clean up for the hardworking hospital maintenance staff. So, please, when you go out to have your smoke break, be considerate and throw out your butts in the garbage. Thank you.
