I-98 a great idea

I just read that the Democratic Party is against the Yes-11 plan. I couldn’t be happier! The only way the plan will work is build bypasses around the bigger villages like Gouverneur, Canton and Potsdam, but that defeats the plan. They claim I-98 will make ghost towns, I don’t. The people that are there are there because they want to be. None of these towns are any better off than they were 60 or 70 years ago. Take Potsdam for example, at one time they had Sears, Wards, and JC Penneys all at once and you could get what you wanted without having to wait for them to order it. What do we have now? Also for the people that have to go to Burlington for medical appointments or emergencies the trip would be a lot shorter and quicker and safer. Four lane roads are a lot safer than any two lane road ever. At this point in time, time saved is the priority. I am totally for the I-98 hwy and always will be. Look what I-81 and I-87 have done to northern New York, it makes great sense to connect the two to complete the two.
