In regards to the Potsdam Town Hall, residents have made it quite clear what their opinion is on this subject. A lot on Lawrence Avenue was purchased without seeking approval of the voters. Forced amid much criticism to get voter approval prior to construction after the lot was purchased, the project was soundly turned down by the members of this community. Now, despite those wishes, the town board led by Marie Regan has proceeded to purchase a landmark in downtown Potsdam, raze it against much public outcry with a new town hall now set to be constructed at the site. All I hope is that the voters of this community make it clear what they think about such actions when the members of the current town board, supposedly working for us, come up for reelection. It’s no wonder that Norwood wants out.
