Yesterday evening a large maple tree branch split and came down across the road near my house. We never noticed it. A man driving home from a hard day of working in the heat did and stopped to clear it from the road so that no one would have an accident or hit that large branch. He used a small chain saw and cleared every bit. No one else stopped to help him; they just sped on past. This young man truly represents who we have always been in the North Country. I wonder about those that sped on by without a thought of helping him. Remember who we are; we are a people who care about each other and help those we don’t even know without speeding on by and pretending we don’t see.
