Handicapped access

I recently have been forced to use a wheelchair when going out with my family. For all the handicapped parking that is available in parking lots, it’s not necessarily easily accessible. Some places have spaces, but they are so close together, that you can’t get a person out, to say nothing about getting a wheelchair in. And handicapped parking does not indicate the accessibility of door access. Many places do not have automatic doors for the handicapped. My husband, son, or daughter has to fight with a door to get in, or sometimes depend on a good samaritan to open it. I would suggest that owners look into the dilemma you create for those who want to be independent by not providing better handicapped access.
