Gross comparison

In response to “Breastfeeding in Church,” which appeared in the Aug. 30 - Sept. 5 issue of North Country This Week: The fact that breastfeeding a child in church has been compared to pornography is not only abhorrent but a gross comparison. This is not a statement. It is nourishing your child and has been done since the beginning of mankind. I agree that covering up is preferable in public but the comparison that has been made is completely ignorant and only shows that this person is sexist and does not respect women or children. A woman is coming in to worship and teach her children about the love of God, not provide a strip tease for the perverse man that seems to be sitting watching others instead of up front like he should be. It's not like they're going up on the altar and screaming breastfed is the way to go... why don't you focus on what should be focused on? God and only God. Not judging a poor mother who is trying to juggle worship and feed her baby. Church is not your site to go in and criticize others. I say hands up to the mothers bringing in their infants so they can celebrate God instead of staying home where it would be much easier to breastfeed and not have sick men eyeing and judging her way of child rearing.
