New York State is supposedly broke and trying to find ways to balance their budget, yet there are several new grants being made available to local governments. That probably is good but why are these grants being made to some not for profit businesses that cannot manage their own money? It is just like the banks loaning out money when they knew the patrons could not repay the loans. Giving grants to not for profit businesses that show no sign of ever managing their finances is just another example of mismanagement of government funds.
