Just read the Sept. 28-Oct. 4 issue of North Country This Week and saw that dissolution will raise my taxes between $200-$600! Give me a break. You live in the village as a convenience and choose to. I live in the town because I choose to. You have police, sewer, water, streetlights, hospital, stores, restaurants, etc. If you want all that stuff, then you pay for it. How about if the town puts in a referendum to have the people in the village pay the town people for their wells, septic systems, and money for gas so we can come in and support your village? If you don’t want to pay for the stuff you have, then move out to the township. Don’t ask me for a handout. You’re not worth it. That’s one of the biggest reason I choose not to live in a village, the extra tax. So quit your whining and pay your extra tax or move.
