Last year I opted out, but have always enjoyed seeing the many kids who come to my house for treats. This year, facing the same decision, I decided to give the money I would have spent on candy to famine relief for drought stricken East Africa. There are millions of people, more than half of them children, who need food, shelter and medicine.
