A trip to Syracuse on Thursday has revealed once again that we in St. Lawrence County are being schilled for our hard earned money by the gasoline dealers. Seeing prices at $3.69 a gallon seems to be cause for irritation when return-home prices range from $3.83 to $3.90. If anyone wants to know why St. Lawrence County has such financial disadvantages with other areas, look no further than the cost of gasoline. While stations raised prices several times a day on the way up, it sure seems slower on the way back to sensibility. It’s no wonder consumer and business confidence is such a drag on the economy with fuel costs like this.
