In response to “Daylight Saving Time” which ran in the March 18 edition of North Country This Week, I hope the St. Lawrence County legislature does investigate the phenomenon of relatively higher gasoline prices in the North Country. Who knows what sinister conspiracies they might upturn. I heard a rumor that after the illuminati planned the assassination of John Kennedy, they also decided that Brasher Falls should be less connected to the nation's transportation network than Buffalo, Syracuse, and New York City. And when Ronald Reagan wanted to relocate the eastern seaboard's gasoline production, transshipment, and warehousing operations to Gouverneur, I heard the Freemasons said "No!"
