In response to " Americans Aren’t Quitters," which ran in the April 25 issue of North Country This Week, you are absolutely right. With that said, who said opting out of a test that is pure bogus is quitting? Maybe you have someone you know who becomes obsessed with the internet or social media and doesn't take the time to explain every day issues in life. Like going to school, explaining how important it is to get a fair and unbiased education. For the record, some of us took the time to explain the test and why it was given, then gave our children a chance to give their own opinion. As a family decided how to approach this decision. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't American still a free country and are we not free to make decision with out someone criticizing on how parents raise our children to help make their own choices.
