On the evening of Friday, Jan. 13 in Canton, even though the four-way traffic lights were out at the intersection of Routes 11/310/68, we saw numerous cars failing to stop (especially those traveling west on Route 11/Main Street in Canton). According to New York State law, all vehicles are required to stop at the intersection and proceed as one would at a four-way stop sign. Come on, people--this is basic driver education, and it should be common sense.
