In years of studying the fluoridation issue, the worst fear mongering I keep seeing suggestions that, absent fluoridated drinking water, whole populations of children will be victims of the devastating effects of otherwise preventable tooth decay which left untreated has caused death, thereby suggesting we are negligent and abusive, if not murdering parents if we reject public water fluoridation. Those allusions are then supposed to justify touting fluoridation’s widely proven reduction of cavities by 25 percent or, let’s just say three cavities instead of four.
