FEMA assistance is a waste of money. All it does is reward those who were ignorant enough to build on land that was only inches above the average high water mark, and encourages them to keep on doing it. We have wasted enough tax money. Nature is nature: no matter what you try to do, nature is going to win. Those using the properties have the responsibility to either accept their consequences or go down the tubes for now good reason.
