You know it just roasts me to keep reading how our schools are cutting so many jobs and of course cutting sports. Why is it so hard for those who are all powerful to actually run the school like a business? If they would look to eliminate the incredible waste of money, perhaps things wouldn’t be that bad. For example, allowing the bus driver to sit in the bus with it running throughout a two-three hr game is just crazy. Coaches getting paid ridiculous amounts of money to coach, teachers getting paid to run the clock, and the best for last. If we have to pay for the teachers’ health care, why is it that we have to pay for their families as well? Also why is a school vote to increase taxes not for taxpayers only? If you don’t pay the tax why should you have a right to vote? It’s time for our school boards to quit patting themselves on the back for only increasing taxes by x amount percent per year and fix the problem of stupid spending.
