The Sheriff’s Department should really reconsider their “Fear Campaign” tactics. Actions speak much louder than words, and they should be trying to prove to the legislators that they offer a completely necessary service, or offering suggestions as to how they can reduce budget items. Instead, they are trying to scare and shame us all into supporting them whole-heartedly. I hope Kevin and crew understand that if taxes go up 20 percent a lot of people will leave this area, and the Sheriff’s (and many others) budget will have to be reduced either way.
