In response to “More Tax, More Service” which ran in the March 11 issue of North Country This Week, I couldn't agree more with you. Taxes in Colton are about to skyrocket and the lack of tax service is non- existent especially for us on the river/lake. The roads are not maintained by the town. It is considered a private road where we the "taxpayers" have to chip in again to have our road plowed for access to our taxable property. We have our own septic and water systems. I do not mind paying my fair share but expect to get something out of my tax dollars. I hope the Colton folk revolt and get this unjust taxation adjusted to where we get what we pay for.
