As I watched the events unfold in Boston and Texas recently, not only was I saddened by the tragedy but at the same time was very proud of our law enforcement, firefighters, EMT's and medical personnel. These people work to keep us safe and attend to our wounded. They are fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. They are ready to face a dangerous situation and dive right in. I know some of our law enforcement and they have children of their own, yet they do what they need to do for us. So let me take this time to say "Thank You" to all of you who get up everyday, kiss your families good-bye to go do a job that keeps our American people safe. Let's not take them for granted, better yet say thank you or do something nice for them. And a huge Thank you to our troops! God bless America.
