“Trial Waste of Money,” “No Third Trial,” “Like a Soap Opera,” “Enough is Enough,” “Opposes Third Oxley Trial.” (Dec. 22-28 and Dec. 29-Jan. 4 issues)--These are five examples of (the only) recent opinions published by NCN/North Country This Week regarding the hung jury in the recent Wayne Oxley Murder trial. No counter-point published. None submitted? The only hypothesis can be that either no counter-point arguments/opinions were submitted or exist, or NCN/North Country This Week editorial, for whatever reason, has made up its own mind. If the latter is the case, I didn’t realize NCN/North Country This Week now is in the business of “promoting” news, instead of covering the news.
Editor’s note: Only one pro-Oxley retrial Sound Off was submitted at the time of publication. It ran in the Dec. 29-Jan. 4 issue as “Justice Should Be Served.”
