I can understand the need for canceling school when bad weather hits, as in the snowstorm Feb. 7. But, when there is a three day advance notice that we're going to have a good size storm, why even send kids to school in the first place only to dismiss them just a couple hours later? Especially with little kids getting out last…most of the time in the worst part of the storms. Seems someone should adjust these policies and have it either canceled or not, unless a real emergency comes up. This early dismissal just puts students at increased risk from these storms.
