I agree that pedestrians should watch out for their own safety. However, I would like to remind drivers that they don’t own the road. They share the road with motorcycles, bicycles, walkers, domestic animals and wildlife. Fifty-five mph may be the fastest you can legally drive on a road, but prudence may say to slow down. Who knows, the life you save might be your own.
