I am a St. Lawrence Country employee. Over my time I have seen county employees doing outside jobs on county time. This is not new. One person was doing personal income taxes for people and another worked for a municipality part-time while on the job at the county. This is a big no-no. I do not think anyone should work a second job while on the clock for the county. It is not fair to taxpayers as they are just double dipping. It is not fair to co-workers. I know our department head always rewards employees with promotions, even if it is just six months on the job. Something does not seem right and I think the treatment at Real Property is wrong. People don’t like to hear the truth if they are in the wrong.
