In response to the article “Hunting Dogs Can Legally Roam Properties” which appeared in the Feb. 8-14 issue of North Country This Week: I do not know about this law, but to put it plain and simple, it stinks. For them to be allowed to come into my yard, up to my porch, harass my animals and family, no way. I suppose if the dogs bite someone that’s okay, right? The law needs to changed big time. I am sorry for what the landowner is going through. If the law can’t be changed — the landowner should be able to humanely chase the dogs off their property without being arrested.
