As I was watching the Hunger Games I realized that Governor Cuomo and other politicians are doing exactly what President Snow of the Hunger Games is doing to his people, divide and conquer! We need to stop pointing fingers at who is getting health care, retirement, a better than minimum wage job, etc. Let’s face facts, we all want the best for ourselves and our families. Is it too much to ask that if you work hard you will have a good life? To quote the hunger games “remember who the real enemy is!” County workers, teachers, pharmacists, police officers, doctor, nurses, retail workers, etc.; we are all one community. Friends, neighbors, patrons…why do we wish for our friends and neighbors to have less? We should all be fighting for more. Instead of fighting to take away what little we have left, lets fight so we can all benefit and have more. I can’t stress enough how important is it to vote, even when it feels like it doesn’t make a difference.
