The state highway department recently placed centerline rumble strips on many state roads in the North Country. This has caused very loud and disturbing noise when vehicles cross the rumble strips. The state continues to make changes to our highways without public notice. Living on a highway with a major passing zone the noise level has ruined our attempt at peace and quiet this summer. Hopefully our local political representatives can effect a change to eliminate these disturbing rumble strips.
