I was saddened to see someone disrespect over 200 people that were riding for a cause (“Obey Same Road Rules,” Sound Off, Aug. 24-30). These “bikers” make money for people who are dying, different charities and sick people. How could someone have the nerve to disrespect that? As far as the police are concerned, they are there to make sure the ride is safe for the roads. It is the same concept as when the police participate in village parades and funerals. I just hope you think about that when someone you love is not here anymore and people ride for celebration of the life of a loved one. Instead of being upset about the 2 minutes it took out of your day, why don’t you thank someone that took months out of their life to form a run for someone other than themselves.
