I do not want to personally attack the writer of the May 11-17 Letter to the Editor “Thinking About Dairy Cows on Mother’s Day,” for their views concerning what we eat, what our diets should be or how we see the universe. However, who made this person the dietician for humanity? No milk, no beef, crying animals stripped from their mothers is a bit too dramatic. Be a vegetarian if you choose. I am ok with that, but don’t tell me that I am wrong for enjoying animal meat. If you wish to change my eating habits, do so with facts and not drama. I enjoyed reading your letter as I ate two medium rare hamburgers.
