In response to “Deer Are Disappearing” which appeared in the Nov. 26-Dec. 2 issue of North Country This Week: perhaps this person saw fewer deer but that doesn't mean they aren't there. Here, the numbers are high and we see either the deer or their scat or tracks all around us. Whether you see fewer or have fewer deer depends on a lot of things, like food situation, condition of woods, streams and tributaries and predators, including hunters. Let's be reasonable about this: your situation is not the only situation that exists.
