Should North Country administrators, boards and taxpayers blame Albany for all of their financial difficulties? The PCS board is controlled by members who are ‘sympathetic’ to negotiating lucrative contracts with union leaders - at the expense of students, taxpayers and the least senior members of these unions. Board members with close relationships to employees negotiate contracts that directly benefit them. Voters deserve the boards they elect or allow to elected by not participating. Unions should not own both sides of the negotiating table.
