In response to the unbelievable classless nature of Clarkson Pep Band, I could not agree more (“Rude Pep Band,” Sound Off, Feb. 1-7). What a black eye this band is for a supposedly prestigious university. Sure this is a sporting event and there will always be rivals and bantering to other teams fans but come on, show at least a little bit of class. They surely do at other arenas but no, not Clarkson, and now to attack the beliefs of children when it comes to Santa? Over a women’s hockey game with lots of young children around? What a proud moment that must have been for whoever was the ring leader on that little gem, and the brainless sheep that followed thinking this was a clever and witty response to young children cheering for their team. You sure showed them didn’t you. If the university itself has any class at all they should disband this classless band, but sadly as this type of behavior continues year after year, it appears that the classlessness of Clarkson just may begin at the top.
