I understand why DOT installed a traffic light at the Rt.11 entrance to Clarkson, it sure does come in handy when leaving Clarkson from a hockey game or a different community event. However, in the past week while traveling on Rt. 11 I was stopped at that light with no traffic exiting the Clarkson campus. I saw two cars go through the red light (I think it was completely unexpected) that the light would be red with nobody exiting from CU seemed like poor planning or management of the light. I worry now that winter is upon us that people will not be able to safely stop on that hill when the light turns red. Can DOT install a system that would keep the light on 11 green unless there is traffic exiting from Clarkson?
