Many big money hungry banks will no longer cash my payroll check for face value! They charge me a check cashing fee each week. When I was hired it was explained to me I would be paid on Friday with a paper check redeemable at your financial institution. Of course, I could deposit my check in my bank, but that would mean I don't get paid till Tuesday or Wednesday when funds become available. Please be advised that since your payroll checks are not worth face value I will no longer accept them as payment for my services. I certainty will accept cash for my services, but if you continue to issue me paper checks, I will be billing you for the expense. I also strongly recommend we look closely at the fees this bank is charging our business accounts. If they are charging this crazy check cashing fee, imagine what other crazy fees they are charging to our business accounts! When you switch banks and realize the savings, I expect a big bonus! Until then...I remain a cash only employee.
