Camping to candles

In your report on the Sportsman's Expo, it lists a lot of great information for those that would hope to attend. And then it says "Vendors and businesses will sell products and have information about hunting, boating, camping, fishing, trapping, firearms and recreational vehicles. For women, there will be candles and jewelry vendors." I'm a woman. I'm also an archer, can hold my own with a .22, learned to kayak two years ago, and have camped since childhood. I have next to no interest in either jewelry or candles. A gentleman I work with, when I read this to him, joked that he does not enjoy outdoor pursuits, but likes the yankee candle store at the mall just fine. It's offensive to think that you are saying the menfolk should go for the outdoor stuff and the ladies can check out the candles in this day and age and in this region. How about, "There will also be items such as jewerly and candles for display and sale?" or "For those who don't enjoy the outdoor pursuits as much, come and take a look at the vendors specializing in." I really enjoy NorthCountryNow.com and have for many years. But this was worthy of the giant eye roll we all gave it.
