People are afraid of industrial wind power, saying it will ruin the countryside and their rural lifestyle. I live in the middle of an industrial farming area, where farming goes on 24/7, and it’s pretty well ruined my rural lifestyle. Not to mention killing everything in the creek that runs through my property, and greatly reducing the numbers of wildlife that we used to enjoy seeing. I’d prefer the windmills, once they’re up I don’t think they’re going to be the source of pollution that farming is, and I could learn to ignore them, like people learned to ignore electrical lines. That was a big issue years ago, power lines and the rural electrification program destroying the peace of the countryside.
