Are OFA and Massena better schools than Canton and Potsdam? No. Then why merge? It is proven bigger is not better. Teachers, students and parents make a great school, not administrators! Why not share a superintendent and business office? If (superintendents) Gregory and Brady want a merger so bad, why not share the most expensive services: superintendent, business manager, payroll etc. One person could do both schools. BOCES offers shared services for all that at considerable savings to the districts. Plus this would have zero impact on educational programs. Why isn't that ever discussed?
